    Martin Family Orchards is a family-run farm based in Wenatchee, Washington—also known as the apple capital of the world. They are known for growing premium apples, Rainier cherries, peaches, and nectarines for fresh produce. In 2023, they made a strategic decision to expand their business by entering the cider market.

    The Goal

    Having previously outsourced juice pressing to external suppliers, Martin Family Orchards aimed to optimize their operation by launching in-house cider production. This required a reliable, high-capacity juice processing solution that would:

    • Allow them to move away from outsourcing juice pressing to external partners.

    • Reduce production and logistics costs through full control of the process.

    • Enable them to use unconditioned apples that would otherwise go to waste.

    Additionally, they were looking for a trusted partner who could provide hands-on support—even across continents—as the farm is based in the USA, and Profruit Machinery operates from Europe.

    The Solution

    Profruit Machinery supplied and installed a complete 1200 kg/h apple processing line, covering every cidery stage from washing and pressing to pasteurizing and packaging.

    Our team flew from Europe to the United States to oversee the setup and provide on-site training.

    The investment is expected to pay off within one year.
