About The Client

Harzer Apfel GmbH operates a mobile juice pressing service in Gernrode, in Germany’s Harz region. The company brings juice production directly to orchards, communities and private customers instead of requiring harvested fruit to be transported to a fixed processing facility.

The business focuses mainly on apples, pears and quinces, helping customers turn locally grown fruit into their own juice while making better use of harvests from private gardens and traditional orchards.

The Goal

Harzer Apfel wanted to build its business around mobility: bringing a complete juice production process directly to where the fruit is harvested.

The solution needed to combine all essential processing stages in one compact unit, provide sufficient capacity for seasonal juice pressing and allow different customer batches to remain separated throughout production.

The Solution

ProFruit supplied a customized mobile fruit processing line with a capacity of approximately 800 kg/h.

The line includes a Retractable Fruit Elevator, Auger Mill, Belt Press 800, stainless steel tanks, HEAT 500 Pasteurizer, DOUBLE FLOW filling machine and a 4-head Vacuum Bottle Filler.

The mobile setup can be configured according to the required processing capacity, fruit type and preferred filling method. For Harzer Apfel, combining two filling solutions in one trailer provides additional flexibility for different products and packaging needs.

By integrating the complete process into one mobile unit, it allows to move between different locations and process customers’ fruit directly on the site.
